27. SMS / Text Messaging

TTAE operates an SMS / text messaging program. We collect your mobile phone number and your messaging consent through (a) our websites, landing pages, client intake forms, and other Platform forms, and (b) Meta (Facebook and Instagram) lead generation forms. You provide consent by checking the applicable opt-in box (for example, marketing messages and/or non-marketing account and informational messages) at the point where you submit your mobile number. Consent is not a condition of purchase or use of the Platform.

In connection with the SMS program we collect your mobile phone number, your consent selections, the source of the opt-in (such as the specific website form, landing page, intake form, or Meta lead form), and the date and time of consent, together with records of your interactions with our messages, including STOP and HELP requests.

We use your mobile number only to send the categories of messages you have consented to receive, such as consultation and scheduling confirmations, reminders, account and billing notices, and (where you have opted in) marketing messages, to respond to STOP and HELP requests, and to maintain records demonstrating consent as required by applicable carrier rules and law.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

Mobile information may be shared only with subcontractors or service providers (such as our customer support and messaging platform providers) strictly to facilitate the messages you have consented to receive.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier's plan.

You may withdraw consent and stop receiving SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message; we will send a confirmation and then cease sending messages, except where transactional messages are otherwise permitted by law. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact us at support@talktoanexpert.com.

We retain opt-in and opt-out records for the period required by applicable carrier requirements and applicable state law in order to demonstrate consent and honor opt-out requests.

We use and disclose these categories for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. If TTAE becomes subject to additional state privacy obligations, TTAE will provide notices, rights, and choices as required by applicable law.

18. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. Users under 18 may not use the Platform. TTAE does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take reasonable steps to delete it, unless retention is legally required.

19. International Users

TTAE is operated from the United States. If you access the Platform from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States and other jurisdictions where our service providers operate.

Data protection laws in those jurisdictions may differ from the laws of your country. By using the Platform, you acknowledge that your information may be processed in the United States and other applicable jurisdictions as described in this Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy should be read together with TTAE's: Terms of Service; Independent Attorney Terms; Legal Disclaimer / No Legal Advice Notice; State-Specific Unauthorized Practice of Law (UPL) Disclosures; Refund Policy; Checkout and Subscription Disclosures; Cookie Notice; Recording, Transcript, and Summary Notice; attorney onboarding materials; support and security procedures; any additional notices or policies made available through the Platform.

23. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on the Platform with a revised "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Platform after an updated Privacy Policy is posted means you acknowledge the updated Privacy Policy.

If material changes require additional notice or consent under applicable law, TTAE will provide such notice or request consent where required.

24. SMS / Text Messaging

TTAE operates an SMS / text messaging program. We collect your mobile phone number and your messaging consent through (a) our websites, landing pages, and attorney registration and early-access forms, and (b) Meta (Facebook and Instagram) lead generation forms. You provide consent by checking the applicable opt-in box (for example, marketing messages and/or non-marketing account and informational messages) at the point where you submit your mobile number. Consent is not a condition of registration, purchase, or use of the Platform.

In connection with the SMS program we collect your mobile phone number, your consent selections, the source of the opt-in (such as the specific website form, landing page, or Meta lead form), and the date and time of consent, together with records of your interactions with our messages, including STOP and HELP requests.

We use your mobile number only to send the categories of messages you have consented to receive, such as attorney onboarding, scheduling, account, and (where you have opted in) marketing messages, to respond to STOP and HELP requests, and to maintain records demonstrating consent as required by applicable carrier rules and law.
